Chasing the Delta Academy Bot – Privacy Policy

The Chasing the Delta Academy Bot (“the Bot”) helps maintain consistent and verified identities across the Academy website (“the Site”), Discord, and iRacing. We value your privacy and only collect information necessary to perform this synchronization.
1. Information We Collect
The Bot may access the following data:
From Discord: your user ID, username, and display name
From the Academy Site: your linked account ID and display name
From iRacing (via their official APIs): your iRacing member ID, display name, and licensing or participation data (as allowed by the API)
The Bot does not access private messages, chat logs, or unrelated user data.
2. How We Use This Information
We use this information to:
Verify that your Discord and Academy accounts correspond to a valid iRacing account
Automatically sync your Discord display name to match your Academy or iRacing profile
Maintain accurate identity links across the Academy ecosystem
This information is never used for marketing, profiling, or analytics.
3. Data Storage
The Bot does not permanently store personal data.
Temporary identifiers may exist in memory only during synchronization.
No data is shared with external parties beyond Discord, iRacing, and the Academy’s own systems.
4. Your Choices
You can unlink your Discord or iRacing accounts from your Academy profile at any time. Once unlinked, the Bot will no longer process or sync your information.
5. Security
We apply reasonable security practices to protect account data and API tokens used during the synchronization process.
6. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as new features are introduced (for example, extended iRacing data sync). Any significant changes will be announced in the Academy Discord server.
